Sue describes herself as a mixed media artist, who enjoys working with different art media as a narrative for her work. She is interested in local history and ‘place’, using history and memories of what has been before as influence for a lot of her past work, using glass, ceramics, and printmaking.
Sue studied part-time at the School of Art University of Wolverhampton and studied Fine Art for the first year of her B.A, changing to Applied Arts (Glass & Ceramics) for the remainder. Sue concluded her studies with a Master’s degree in Art & Design Applied Arts, and her final MA work ‘Our Connection with Nature is Broken’ has been exhibited at Wolverhampton Art Gallery in September 2023, RBSA Gallery Birmingham, and Weston Park as part of the WSA Exhibition.
Currently her work includes screen printing using glass enamel, painting with glass enamel, hand painted stained glass, ceramics using porcelain and screen printing techniques onto the clay, printmaking, painting.
